Cactus Juice

From Google:

Cactus Juice Stabilizing Resin is a professional grade, heat-cured resin for stabilizing and hardening wood and other porous material. Cactus Juice can transform punky, spalted and soft woods that would otherwise be thrown away into stunning blanks that turn, sand and finish beautifully.

The process of using it one would dry the wood to near zero %, then immerse the wood into cactus juice inside a vacuum chamber. Vacuum is applied until all air is removed from the wood, then it is allowed to sit in the cactus juice until the wood is saturated with cactus juice. Once that’s complete the wood would be cured in an oven.

It’s possible to apply color to the cactus juice if one would like to have the wood dyed. The juice is reusable and can be stored for up to one year.

That’s just a quick synopsis of the process.

I recently saw a post on a Forum mentioning Cactus Juice. Can someone please tell me what Cactus Juice is? Also, why, when and how would it be used. I thought the post referred to spalted wood.

Thank you, Terry
