Our club challenge this MAY is Space related object ”May the Forth be with you!” according to the newsletter.

This project was a spaceship club project challenge from 2013 that I submitted. I will try to bring to the Sat meeting.

The spacecraft landed on a small island, with 1 partially destroyed tree; we all know these things can be pretty destructive, right? The island has a sandy waterfront, has stones, sand and all the stuff you'd likely find. This is only a 4 second video, as any longer, and well ya may not want to take the chance on aliens emerging and popping out at your puter.

Please read the instructions below if you have trouble displaying this video.

May the fourth be you my friends!

I realize it's very cumbersome at this point.

If you download this file, your computer may likely want you to download a file from the Microsoft store called HEVC video extensions for 99 cents.....yikes. If you are a cheapskate like me, I do not recommend you do this.

I do know that VLC media reader will play this, for FREE no less. Simply search for VLC using your fav internet browser to download this file. Official download of VLC media player, the best Open Source player - VideoLAN There are probably others as well.

I created this 4 sec video on my Samsung GalaxyS23 cell phone, using video, which creates a MP4 video, apparently an updated file type, that I cannot change, that requires a certain video codec to play. Microsoft always looking for ways to make additional $$, eh!

When you click on the whimsical_landing.mp4 link that file will download to your computer. I suggest downloading to your desktop, with the default name, so you can easily find it. To view the whimsical_landing.mp4 file, open VLC, click on Media, Open Media, select the file, click open.

Let me know if this works.

If we can streamline the process, it might open some interesting possibilities for the club.
