Wood dye

I am thinking about purchasing some wood dye and I was wondering what type various members use and what they do or don't like about it.

Thanks,

Kris

Sorry, that's not one of my super powers. I tried some red aniline dye once in order to mimic the reds in box elder, failed miserably. John

I've used powders and liquids and India ink. All work in the moment.

To start, I suggest fabric dye if you want rainbow colors.

Do the research on colorfastness if it is a long-term item.

Kris,

I've used india inks from Hobby Lobby. Bombay brand. Is transparent, let's grain show through.

I may have a story board, but probably buried somewhere, if that helps..
